North Simcoe Employment Access Group

Vision Statement

…To foster good community relations and provide a networking environment of organizations and service providers who help clients overcome employment barriers and to maintain a current directory of those service providers.

Spearheaded in 1997, the North Simcoe Employment Access Group (NSEAG) provides a forum for agencies involved in employment, training, and educational initiatives to exchange information on what services they offer. This ensures agencies can make appropriate referrals to their clients.

The scope of client-centred initiatives the NSEAG has initiated since its inception include Common Assessment Training, a variety of interagency and public networking events, and annual Canada Career Week and Community Job & Career Fairs.

Membership is open to all organizations and service providers serving clients in the North Simcoe area.

To be considered a member in good standing an organization must annually provide current, accurate demographic information regarding their organization and the services they provide.

All members are encouraged to attend the Annual General Meeting.  At this meeting members are invited to volunteer to serve on various sub-committees for annual events such as, but not limited to, the Job Fair and Canada Career Week.  Attendance at the Annual General Meeting will provide an opportunity to suggest other events or activities that meet the needs of our diverse client group.   Participation on sub-committees offers an opportunity for members to voice ideas and concerns about the planning, organization and implementation of these annual events.

Decision making regarding the organization, planning, and implementation of events will be the responsibility of the members of the subcommittee.  Concerns and ideas may be voiced through subcommittee members but final decisions remain the ultimate responsibility of the committee members through consensus.
