In our one week Junior Leaders Program (ages 12-13), youth are introduced to basic leadership concepts. In our two week Young Leaders program (ages 14-15), youth build up to a five day canoe trip in Temagami. In our three week Advanced Leaders Program (ages 16-17), youth work on the Bronze Medallion/Cross and First Aid/CPR Certification. We also offer Outtripping programs for youth aged 13-15. YMCA Geneva Park Family Camp
For over 100 years, the YMCA has been offering value-based family vacations on beautiful Lake Couchiching, just outside of Orillia. Families stay in cottages or hotel accommodation and participate in canoeing, kayaking, windsurfing, tennis lessons, arts and crafts, archery, sports, swimming, environmental education and traditional camp games. Truly, YMCA Geneva Park’s Family Camp Program builds strong kids, strong families and strong communities. Youth Leadership and Outtripping Programs are available for youth aged 12-17. We also offer a Winter Family Camp over New Years. For more information, or to learn more about our Sponsorship Program, please email geneva_park@ymca.ca.

Outtripping
Through our Youth Leadership Department, we offer a variety of one week canoe trips throughout the summer. Based out of YMCA Geneva Park, we run trips on Georgian Bay, Temagami and the Magnetawan River. The focus of these trips is to develop interpersonal skills, an appreciation of the outdoors and to develop outtripping skills that youth can use throughout their lives. All staff leading these trips are certified lifeguards and have their Wilderness First Aid. For more information, email geneva_park@ymca.ca.

Inclusion
Through our YMCA Strong Kids Campaign, we are able to provide sponsorships for families whose children cannot afford the full price of a Geneva Park experience. For more information or to make a donation to this fund, please email geneva_park@ymca.ca.

Volunteer and Staffing Opportunities
Starting in December, YMCA Geneva Park starts hiring for the upcoming season. We hire over 40 young people for 2 to 4 months. All applicants must have Standard First Aid and CPR and a clear Police Reference Check. Most program staff must be certified Life Guards. If you are interested, please email geneva_park@ymca.ca. There are many different ways people can volunteer at Geneva Park: as a volunteer medical staff during the summer, at our spring work weekend, canvassing for our Strong Kids Campaign that sponsors children to go to camp, or providing leadership to programs at the Park in the summer.
