We are currently recruiting for a full-time Carpenter in our Insurance Restoration Division. This position will be based out of the office in Muskoka but will require travel in/around the Muskoka area. The successful candidate would describe themselves as a “Jack / Jill of All Trades”., capable of working on a variety of finishing tasks while maintaining the highest standard of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform framing, finish carpentry, and trim work with precision.
• Read and interpret drawings and blueprints to complete projects to specification.
• Install, repair, and finish drywall, including taping, plastering, and patchwork.
• Carry out painting and surface preparation to ensure professional finishes.
• Prepare surfaces, set tiles, and repair grout or finishes as required.
• Cut and prepare openings in walls/floors for fixtures and fittings.
• Work closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver excellent service.
• Ensure job sites are safe, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of work experience
• Valid G license and a clean driving record is required
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail and the ability to meet physical demands of the role
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Able to deal with customers and clients in a respectful manner
• Ensure job sites are safe, organized and compliant with health and safety standards
• Access to own tools is an asset

Position Requirements

• Availability Monday – Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
• Attending and actively participating in on-going training and safety certifications as needed and to make every effort to attempt to pass any exams that may be required
