Primary Responsibilities:
-Learn to handle optics, read blueprints, and use measuring equipment
-Assemble products according to provided specifications
-Utilize calibrated equipment as part of the manufacturing process
-Follow work flow instructions from Supervision/Group Leads
-Use good visual acuity to identify imperfections in parts or assemblies
-Follow all safety protocols and procedures
-Maintain a clean and organized work area
-Perform basic data entry and computer work
-Share in the commitment towards a positive workplace culture
Qualifications & Experience:
-Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
-Previous manufacturing experience preferred
-Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time and work shiftwork
-Good verbal and written communications skills
-Basic computer skills and comfort with technology
-Ability to understand technical problems and make sound decisions
-Familiarity with the metric system
-Motivated with a demonstrated positive attitude
