We are searching for a Project Manager who enjoys working in a fast paced environment. The right candidate must have a hands on attitude and be a team player all the way.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Monitoring project performance, schedule, costs, equipment, manpower, materials, safety and environment and quality control
Build and maintain excellent relationships with project team, trade contractors, architects, consultants and our clients
Oversee total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule
Project planning and execution.
Familiar with project management software programs.
Conduct site tours, safety inspections and lead by example to ensure policies, procedures and standards are adhered to.
Ensures comprehensive project close-out.
Manage project meetings.
Mentor, coach and supervise and assess performance of direct reports and other team members.
Assists in securing new work by participating in estimates, working with subcontractors and participating in proposals and presentations
Leads negotiation of claims and disputes with the owner and sub trades.
Other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related engineering or construction management discipline.
Familiar with project management software programs.
Knowledge of different construction methods, sequencing, problem solving and timelines.
Knowledge of relevant construction law and building codes.
Ability to understand and employ engineering/construction plans/specifications, methods and procedures.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Staff management and legislated certifications and training.
A minimum of 5+ years’ construction experience.
