Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Rock Manufacturing Foreman to oversee daily production operations within our dimensional stone manufacturing facility. This hands-on role requires leadership, strong technical knowledge of stone processing equipment, and the ability to keep production running efficiently across multiple machines and teams.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all saws, guillotines, and handling equipment are loaded and operated safely and effectively — keeping the flow of production continuous and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
· Supervise and coordinate daily operations for stone production, including cutting, handling, and material flow.
· Lead a team of operators and laborers across our production line including:
o 2 Bridge Saws
o 1 Multi-Wire Saw
o 1 Quarry Saw
o 1 Guillotine
· Maintain consistent loading and offloading of rock material to keep all machines operating efficiently.
· Operate and oversee equipment use, including:
o Wheel loaders (various sizes) for moving and staging stone blocks.
o Large excavators for handling raw material and oversize pieces.
o Forklifts for palletizing, loading, and shop logistics.
o Haulage truck loading/offloading coordination and execution.
· Monitor production quality, ensuring all products meet Georgian Bay Granite’s standards for craftsmanship and precision.
· Enforce safety standards and conduct daily inspections of equipment and work areas.
· Train, mentor, and supervise crew members to promote a safe and efficient work environment.
· Communicate daily production goals, challenges, and maintenance needs with management.
· Assist with preventative maintenance scheduling and troubleshooting production bottlenecks.
Qualifications
· Minimum 3-5 years of experience in stone, aggregate, or heavy manufacturing environments.
· Proven leadership experience supervising or coordinating production teams.
· Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience operating heavy equipment: wheel loaders, excavators, forklifts, and related machinery.
· Working knowledge of stone cutting, sawing, and handling equipment (bridge saws, multi-wire, quarry saws, guillotines).
· Commitment to workplace safety, communication, and teamwork.
· Ability to read and interpret production plans and material specifications.
· Valid operator or heavy equipment certifications considered an asset.

Pay: $28.00-$38.00 per hour
