School as our Sailing School Manager. This critical role ensures the smooth day-to-day operation of our
Sailing School, providing management and safety oversight while fostering a safe, fun, and educational
environment for all participants.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee and manage instructors, programs, and safety protocols.
· Observe from a coach boat to ensure on-water safety and support during instructional sessions.
· Support instructors with student behaviour/supervision and contact with families.
· Maintain a strong focus on the safety, quality, and efficiency of our sailing programs.
Qualifications:
· Standard First Aid and CPR certification.
· Pleasure Craft Operator License.
· Restricted VHF Radio License.
· Coach Boat Safety certification.
Preferred Skills and Attributes:
· Leadership and Management: Effective communication, and organizational skills to oversee schedules,
resources, and daily operations.
· Safety and Emergency Preparedness: Knowledge of on-water safety protocols, risk assessment, and
emergency response planning with the confidence to handle situations calmly and effectively.
· Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in operating and maintaining coach boats, familiarity with sailing
equipment maintenance, and understanding of weather patterns.
· Interpersonal Skills: Ability to support staff and students, patience, diplomacy, and a collaborative mindset
to work with club members and guests.
· Administrative Skills: Competence in reporting and documentation (e.g., incident reports), schedule
management.
This is a non-instructional role, with primary responsibilities in leadership and safety oversight.
Dates of employment: June 16 2025 – August 22 2025 (with possibility of June 23 2025 start if negotiated)
Salary Range: $20-$25/hr based on qualifications and experience Accessibility
