Timber Mill Plane/ Saw Trainee

Qualifications:

Ability to follow directions

Able to complete physical tasks efficiently

Excellent listening and communication skills

Detail oriented & strong organizational skills

Team Player

Forklift experience an asset

Knowledge of different timber/lumber types

Previous sawmill experience is an asset

Job Duties include, but not limited to:

Ability to lift heavy materials, over 50lbs

Set up and operate power-fed timber planer machine

Ability to learn and operate Timber Saw

Select and install knives in cutter heard when required

Clean up of work area

Report equipment maintenance required

Safety compliance

Any tasks assigned by management
