Our facility in Parry Sound Ontario, in the heart of the beautiful 30,000 islands, has a new employment opportunity. We are looking for a Wood Worker to join our team!

Dayshift: 6:00am – 2:30pm

Base Rate: $27.50/ hour

Overtime and Shift Work may be required.

We are looking for reliable, mechanically minded candidates.

Experience preferred but not required.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate production line machinery and computers
• Perform pre-shift tool and equipment inspections
• Troubleshoot production line machinery
• Perform equipment change-overs
• Responsible for quality control. Make necessary adjustments to produce product within specifications. Reject product outside of specifications (check with supervisors)
• Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and job safety analysis (JSAs)
• Operate forklift, overhead cranes, or mobile yard cranes (if qualified)
• Utilize the company ERP system for production tracking
• Perform daily preventive maintenance (PMS) on production line machinery or tools
• Communicate with operators from other shifts
• Clean and maintain work area daily (woodshop and shipping area)
• Turn off equipment when not in use
• Lock out equipment in the event of equipment failure
• Work shifts work as required
• Must meet other qualifications and checklists as required
