Weeks Construction
Responsibilities:
Operate a range of heavy equipment including but not limited to excavator, front end loader, skid steer, portable crusher tower & other material handling tools safely and with a reasonable degree of effectiveness and efficiency
Conduct detailed daily and routine inspections of equipment and assigned units
Actively participate in preventative maintenance (minor repairs, greasing, safe operation, etc.)
Perform duties in a safe and efficient manner while abiding by all company policies and procedures.
Accurately complete all tickets, weigh bills and documentation requirements
Act in accordance with all government rules and regulations.
Act in accordance with the OH&S Act of the Province of Ontario
Participate in training as required by the company and/or its representatives.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Surface Miner Common Core
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, professionally and effectively
Proficient in English
Ability to independently get to and from work
Effective time management and the ability to take multiple requests and/or directions at one time (e.g. multiple requests, a change in schedule last minute, etc.) along with the ability to complete all tasks as assigned in the time allotted while working safely.
Ability to climb up and down a vehicle / equipment repetitively and/or as required
Ability to stand and/or walk on jobsites and/or sit in equipment for extended periods of time.
Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
Ability to lift minimum of 50lbs independently
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
G licence
Minimum 3 years experience operating heavy equipment
