Parry Sound Bikes

  • Full time (minimum 30 hours per week)
  • 1 year contract (with the possibility to extend)
  • $25 per hour*

We’re seeking an individual that is passionate about outdoor adventure, content creation and marketing. Digital marketing, content creation, and tourism product creation skills and experience would be an asset. College or university education in marketing, business, outdoor leadership, or graphic design would be an asset.

INTERNSHIP ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Successful candidates must:
  • Be unemployed or underemployed youth (persons aged 30 and under);
  • Have graduated within the last three years with a degree, diploma, or certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution;
  • Be legally entitled to work in Canada;
  • Have not previously participated in a youth internship with FedNor’s Regional Economic Growth through Innovation (REGI) or in any other federal or provincial internship program with pay for a period of six months or more;
  • Must reside in Northern Ontario or be willing to move to the region for the period of the internship

Parry Sound Bikes is a full service shop located in Parry Sound, Ontario. We offer sales, service and rentals for bikes and e-bikes. Stop by for local trail knowledge, ride essentials, clothing and coffee!

In the winter we offer cross country ski sales and service including alpine and snowboard service.

Parry Sound Bikes was established in 2013 by Parry Sound local, Aleesha Clark (formerly Mullen). The shop was originally located on Bowes Street in Parry Sound.

In 2017 Parry Sound Bikes purchased the Old Firehall from the Town of Parry Sound. With the help of family and friends the building was completely restored and is now the permanent home of Parry Sound Bikes.

Parry Sound Bikes is now owned by Thomas and Aleesha Clark and their dog Franklin.

Parry Sound Bikes was established with the clear intent to grow the cycling culture and community in the town of Parry Sound. Through community involvement, group rides and a welcoming shop atmosphere Parry Sound Bikes has become a destination and gathering place for cyclists. Through everything we do, we hope to inspire you often and ride with you soon!
