ASSISTANT TREASURER

The Municipality of Whitestone is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to
join our team as Assistant Treasurer. Reporting to the Treasurer/Tax Collector, this is an
excellent opportunity to contribute directly to the financial affairs of a small northern
Ontario municipality while gaining diverse municipal finance experience and playing a
key role in supporting local government operations. Work will be based at the Municipal
Office (21 Church Street, Dunchurch) with occasional remote work arrangements subject
to approval.

Qualifications:
A post-secondary education in business, accounting or a related field and a minimum of
two years related experience in an accounting or finance environment. Municipal
finance experience is considered an asset.
Hours of Work & Compensation:
This is a part-time non-union position (30 hours bi-weekly). Compensation is
$34.68 to $36.98 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
