Title: Senior Millwright
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor/Manager
Shift: Days Afternoons 2:30pm to 11:00pm

Job Purpose: The Millwright will play a crucial role in supporting the team within our highly technical fabrication facility. They will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of advanced CNC machinery, PLC-controlled equipment, robotics, and various other highly automated systems. By applying their expertise, the Millwright will contribute to maintaining a safe and productive work environment, helping to drive the success of our fabrication processes. As a Sr Millwright you will coach, mentor and help develop others within the team.

Key Responsibilities:
Installation and Maintenance:
Install, assemble, and maintain advanced CNC machines, robotic systems, and PLC-driven equipment
Execute major overhauls, machine changeover, calibrations, and alignments, taking accountability for equipment performance
Conduct regular preventative maintenance programs to ensure machinery and equipment sustain optimal reliability, and production targets
Read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, schematics, manuals, blueprints, and specifications to complete installations and repairs
Troubleshooting and Repair:
Independently diagnose and resolve mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues on complex machinery
Use diagnostic tools and test equipment to identify root causes, resolve problems and predict future breakdowns
Perform emergency repairs and ensure minimal production downtime
Calibrate machines, adjust settings, and align components to meet production specifications
Fabrication, Welding, and Machining Expertise:
Fabricate, weld (ARC, TIG, MIG), and machine precision components for repairs, upgrades, and emergency interventions
Operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other shop equipment to deliver high-accuracy parts and assemblies
Provide guidance on advanced rigging, machining, and alignment practices across complex equipment
Safety, Compliance, and Process Ownership:
Champion a culture of safety, ensuring adherence to all health, safety, and regulatory requirements
Conduct comprehensive equipment inspections, proactively identify hazards, and ensure compliance with internal and external standards
Evaluate processes, recommend machine upgrades, and implement strategic maintenance practices to improve productivity and reliability
Participate in the development and updating of maintenance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines
Continuous Improvement:
Lead cross-functional teams, collaborating with engineering, operations, and quality teams to prioritize
maintenance, resolve complex issues, and optimize plant performance
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, lean projects, and process enhancements to maximize uptime,
efficiency and safety
Documentation, Planning, and Resource Management:
Maintain precise records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections
Assess job scope, required tools, and materials to plan work efficiently and minimize production impact
Liaise with external contractors and suppliers, ensuring specialized work or critical equipment needs are met promptly
Ordering and replenishment of work materials and components as necessary
Log all work completed in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Track inventory of spare parts and tools, ensuring critical parts are available when needed
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with the operations, engineering, and quality assurance teams to ensure machinery is aligned
with production goals
Mentor, coach, and develop apprentices and junior technicians, building team capability and technical
expertise
Communicate clearly and promptly with supervisors and production teams regarding equipment status and
repairs
Leadership & Team Management:
Coach and mentor a team of millwrights/ Electricians, apprentices, and machine specialists. Collaborate with production or field teams to schedule maintenance with minimal operational impact.

Education & Experience:
High School Diploma/GED, College (Trade School), and Completion of Apprenticeship as a Millwright, and hold a Red Seal or Journeyman Millwright Certification (433A)
5+ years’ post certification (or proven proficiency) working with complex, highly technical and automated machinery
Demonstrated hands-on experience and skills to troubleshooting and repairs different types of equipment in a fast-paced automated manufacturing/industrial environment, including Amada CNC
Brakes, Amada Lasers, Trumpf 3030 Lasers, Prima Turret Punches, Prima SG’s, Prima Combi Lasers, Safan Brakes, Fanuc M-410i Robots, Fanuc R-30iB Rabots, Yaskawa Motoman YR-1 Robots, Kuka KR 10

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Reviews product formula sheets and secures ingredients from the warehouse.
Weighs all raw materials necessary to manufacture a batch. Must be able to accurately measure all raw materials necessary to manufacture the batch using a variety of measure equipment, e.g. scales, graduates, etc.
Compounds batch in accordance with formula provided
Takes samples to the laboratory for approval.
Delivers the finished batches to the floor for assembly requirements.
Completes formula cards
Cleans and sanitizes equipment. Must be able to follow exact GMP cleaning and sanitation procedures on all manufacturing equipment and work areas.
Maintains a tank log book, with information such as products produced, code numbers, when used and when sanitized.
Properly fills out, records maintains all usage logs regarding equipment use.
Completes all documentation pertaining to yields, weights, sanitation and other GMP’s.
Cleans and sanitizes equipment as required. Must be able to follow GMP cleaning and sanitation procedures on all manufacturing equipment and work areas. Removes empty barrels to appropriate disposal location. Cleans and sanitizes floors and equipment such as manufacturing and holding tanks
Maintains a safe, clean and sanitized work station.
Prepares the compounding area for the shift, setting up pumps and other equipment.
Completes compounding jobs in process and pumps product to the holding tanks.
Compounds product for internal use in accordance with formulae provided by the supervisor.
Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Standards and follows plant policies and procedures.
Works in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the regulations.
Uses or wears the equipment, protective devices or clothing that is required by the Supervisor or SDS to be used or worn

Experience:
Minimum of one year of compounding experience
Minimum one year Shade Matching or equivalent experience/ability.
Must complete testing for Colour Blindness tendencies.

JOB DESCRIPTION
This position maintains a constant check of component parts, materials, packing supplies, etc. on assembly lines confirming proper type, size, shade and condition for the job. Maintains a consistent check on materials produced on assembly lines to ensure assembly processes are followed correctly and production machinery is working properly. Notifies Set Up A or Supervisor promptly of problems requiring attention. Maintains constant check on mechanical operations for safety and fire hazards. Performs regular checks on all production as prescribed. Keeps records and controls data as required to ensure proper documentation for future reference. Works with minimum supervision.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible to ensure all assigned machinery is properly adjusted to scheduled production and in good running condition.
Ability to troubleshoot and correct issues with machinery; complete required adjustments and minor repairs to maintain production and limit downtime.
Ability to recognize the requirement for major repairs and communicate appropriately for immediate assistance from Supervisor.
Responsible to maintain an adequate level of supplies for Operators and inform Supervisor of any shortages.
Responsible for proper product identification on finished cases.
Responsible for recording and posting accurate production counts to daily line records
Should assist line operators and line set-up personnel as time allows.
Pack skids according to required patterns and specifications and move from line.
Responsible to know and comply with all HK Kolmar Canada and governmental policies and procedures in respect to safety, GMP and environmental compliance.

Krown Midland is looking for a new team member who will fill the role of Car washer / shop hand in our fast-paced team. This role will be in charge of washing the vehicles after they have received a Krown Rust Protection Application and helping the Krown Technicians by providing them a second hand when needed. The Tech hand aspect of this position will include tasks that will assist the Krown Technician in completing their job quickly and efficiently.

In our busy season we service upwards of 45 vehicles a day and it is a fast-paced environment where you will be on your feet for most of the day.
