As we continue to develop our strategic plan, the YMCA of Simcoe
Funded by the ministry of Children and Youth Services, the Children’s Treatment Network of Simcoe/York was launched in 2006. Today, CTN has ten local geographic teams, five in Simcoe County and five in York Region, as well as a Francophone team.
What does the Children’s Treatment Network Do?
Through the collective efforts of community partners, the Network provides comprehensive, coordinated care and services to kids with complex physical, developmental and communication needs who live in Simcoe County and York Region, free of cost. Their current vision for the next five years is: Building Brighter Futures Together.
The Collingwood YMCA Children’s Treatment Network
In the spring of 2009 the Collingwood YMCA was proud to officially launch a Children’s Treatment Network local team site based out of their facility. Service providers from many different agencies are welcome to use the site to provide service to children. CTN has partnered with local agencies to offer educational opportunities for parents.
The Three Key Goals of the Children’s Treatment Network
- Provide parents and professionals with a single point of access to all the services available across the Network.
- Link service providers from many agencies together so they can take a single plan of care team approach to each child’s care. This is accomplished by using collaborative practice and a shared electronic record.
- Expand and enhance services and supports already being provided by Network partners and address service gaps through additional funding for rehabilitation and specialty services.
