Participants will engage in a developmentally appropriate, play-based discovery program alongside our YMCA Child Care Leaders guided by the principles of our YMCA A Place to Connect curriculum.

Our YMCA Leaders offer experiences through a variety of activities both indoors and outdoors, generating ideas from listening to our Campers needs and interests. Open, planned and spontaneous opportunities for creativity, being active, hands-on learning and games in a co-operative playful environment provides our Campers with the opportunity for a fun-filled summer.

Campers will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of fun activities and develop their love of nature at Earl Rowe Provincial Park! Activities will include sports and games, arts and crafts, and daily exploration of the provincial park.

Campers will develop the fundamental skills needed to play a variety of sports including soccer, ball hockey, ultimate frisbee, and more! Emphasis on teamwork, fitness, fair play, and fun!

Nature enthusiasts will end the week by testing their nature survival skills and receive a nature explorer YMCA badge. Nature enthusiasts will have the opportunity to partake in traditional camp activities.

Campers will dedicate the first half of the day to exploring their creativity through a range of artistic mediums, guided by our experienced staff! In addition to this program, they will partake in an assortment of classic camp activities to enhance their experience.

Lakehead University

The Youth Changemaker Leadership Institute is a dynamic one-week program designed to inspire and equip youth aged 9-14 (grades 5-8) with the tools to create meaningful change in their schools and communities. Youth will be introduced to the #ChangeTheNow framework of change making and human centered design thinking through fun and engaging activities while exploring the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs). During this program youth will use their creativity to envision and co-design ideas for green, sustainable, peaceful, and just futures.

Aquatics Camp

Innisfil YMCA

Campers receive a daily swim lessons, focused on building their aquatic skills with a certified Swim Instructor. On day one, campers will be assessed and divided by skill level. At the end of the week, campers will receive a report card indicating skill achievement. To compliment this program, campers will participate in a variety of traditional camp activities followed by a recreational swim time!

Campers receive a daily swim lesson, focused on building their aquatic skills with a certified Swim Instructor. On day one, campers will be assessed and divided by skill level. At the end of the week, campers will receive a report card indicating skill achievement. To compliment this program, campers will participate in a variety of traditional camp activities followed by a recreational swim time!

The Youth Changemaker Leadership Institute is a dynamic one-week program designed to inspire and equip youth aged 9-14 (grades 5-8) with the tools to create meaningful change in their schools and communities. Youth will be introduced to the #ChangeTheNow framework of change making and human centered design thinking through fun and engaging activities while exploring the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs). During this program youth will use their creativity to envision and co-design ideas for green, sustainable, peaceful, and just futures.

Extended Camp Care to Support Your Family’s Schedule

Extended camp care is offered before and after camp for an additional fee. This is a great option for families looking for more flexible drop off and pick up times. During extended care your camper will participate in supervised programming.

  • Extended care includes morning care from 6:30 am, 7:00 am, or 7:30 am, depending on the location, and goes until 9:00 am. In the afternoon, extended care is from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
  • Fee: $60/week ($48/short week – 1st and 6th week of camp)
  • Space is limited. Please register early.

Camper Subsidy

The Children’s Services Division of the County of Simcoe, the District of Muskoka, and the District of Parry Sound provides child care subsidies to eligible families. The YMCA has secured purchase of service agreements allowing children to attend YMCA Child Care and Day Camp programs with the aid of subsidies. In order to apply for the subsidies, parents/guardians must be working, attending school or fulfilling a participation agreement with Ontario Works.

Financial Assistance

At the YMCA, no one gets turned away for their inability to pay. Through charitable donations, fundraising and other sources, we are able to offer financial assistance so that anyone in our communities can participate in YMCA programs. Families who are unable to pay the full camp fee can apply online or contact our Community Care Team at 705-792-7822 or [email protected] for more information.
