Membership Fee Update & Introducing “Refresh My Y”

At the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka, we are committed to providing welcoming, high-quality spaces, programs, and services that are accessible to all. As a charitable organization, this commitment is only possible through the continued support of our members and donors.

To help sustain and improve the experience you’ve come to expect, a modest membership rate adjustment will take effect starting October 1, 2025. This is our first adjustment since July 1, 2024, and reflects the rising costs of operating and maintaining our facilities.

Thanks to the generosity of YMCA donors, our Financial Assistance program ensures that everyone can access the Y, regardless of their ability to pay the full fee. This adjustment helps us keep pace with rising costs of operating and maintaining our facilities, while ensuring we can continue to offer high-quality programs, services, and spaces for all. 
The updated rates will begin on October 1, 2025.
The change varies by membership type. Most members will see a modest increase of $1.00–$2.00 per bi-weekly payment. You can see the full chart of new rates above. 
We’ve chosen to keep Child (0–12) membership rates the same to ensure affordability for families 
It’s a small, bi-weekly addition to your membership that goes directly toward facility enhancements, such as building maintenance, new equipment, floor refinishing, and pool upkeep. This will allow us to keep our spaces safe, vibrant, and welcoming.
100% of the fee goes directly toward essential facility improvements at your local YMCA, meaning the monies contributed will stay within your community. You’ll see the benefits firsthand in the spaces and equipment you use, and funds will not be redirected to support another location.
